FSCJ and Edward Waters College to Host Public Safety Symposium

WHAT: The Public Safety and Criminal Justice Department of Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) and Edward Waters College (EWC) will host a Public Safety Symposium on the topic of Community Preparedness: The Roles of Emergency Management.

The event will bring together City of Jacksonville Deputy Division Chief Todd Smith who will serve as the keynote speaker, as well as panel speakers FSCJ Professor of Public Safety and Professional Studies Dr. Matthew Collins, EWC Assistant Professor of Emergency Preparedness Dr. Patrice McDaniel, American Criminal Justice Association Theta Sigma Chi Chapter President Cody Fusilier, Miss EWC 2018-19 Lauryn Howard, Department of Investigations and Homeland Security Director Ronald Lendvay, New Town Success Zone Executive Director George Maxey, and Shaquandra Woods-Bostic, Esq. with The Ross Firm, P.A. The panel discussions will be moderated by EWC Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice Dr. Kenneth Davis.
