FSCJ to Host Oxfam Hunger Banquet®

Nov 1, 2022, 10:57 AM

WHAT: Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) will host the annual Oxfam Hunger Banquet to bring greater awareness to the poverty and hunger issues that exist across the world.

FSCJ students, faculty and staff are invited to learn more about world hunger through open dialogue and discussion, while also fostering a College environment that promotes understanding, appreciation and open mindedness for cultural diversity and cross-cultural learning.

Eileen Briggs, chief development officer for the Sulzbacher Center, and representatives from Feeding Northeast Florida will be in attendance to share information on hunger throughout our community and the world, as well as resources to show attendees how they can help.

All attendees are encouraged to bring donations of nonperishable food items to benefit FSCJ’s H.O.P.E. Food Pantry, which serves students who are experiencing food insecurity. Learn more at https://www.fscj.edu/student-services/student-life/volunteerism/food-pantry.
