FSCJ Hosts International Observe the Moon Night Event

WHAT: Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) invites all members of the public to experience NASA’s International Observe the Moon Night (InOMN). Along with numerous locations around the world, FSCJ will participate in this annual public engagement program that focuses on observation, appreciation and understanding of our moon. This program also explores the moon’s connection to NASA planetary science and discovery.

This year’s Observe the Moon Night event will serve as a Service Learning Project for FSCJ Honors program students which includes astronomy honors classes.

Attendees will be able to use telescopes set up in the FSCJ Kent Campus parking lot by the E-Building, Room E-104. Nearby lights will be turned off to allow for better viewing of the moon.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free event.
