FSCJ to Honor Graduates at 2019 Commencement Ceremony

WHAT: Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) is proud to celebrate the thousands of students who have successfully completed their program of study at the 52nd annual Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, May 9. FSCJ Interim Mr. Kevin E. Hyde and the FSCJ District Board of Trustees will award diplomas to students who have earned a bachelor’s and/or associate degree.

More than 4,000 degrees will be awarded to FSCJ graduates and candidates for the 2018-19 academic year, with some students earning more than one degree. Of these, 2,333 are associate in arts degrees, 917 are associate in science degrees and 847 are bachelor’s degrees.

City of Jacksonville Director of Community Affairs and FSCJ Alumni Advisory Council Chair Dr. Charles E. Moreland will present the Distinguished Alumni Award to RDL Logistics Operations Manager Susan A. Amburgey for her longstanding commitment to education, the College and the community.

The faculty and student procession will begin promptly at 3:45 p.m. with the ceremony immediately following at 4 p.m.
