Cheers and congratulations to three Florida State College at Jacksonville students recently honored for their sterling work as student government leaders.

FSCJ’s Student Government Association Collegewide President Ta’Nasha Parker was named the 2018-19 President of the Year by the Florida College System Student Government Association.

It is a prestigious honor, too: Parker was chosen from a field of student government association presidents attending 28 Florida College System institutions — and she was recognized for her distinguished work in supporting and advocating for fellow students.

Meanwhile, FSCJ Student Government Association Vice President Nadia Esha won the Florida College System Student Government Association’s 2018-19 Region 1 Leadership Award for her great service as a top leader; the organization’s Region 1 area represents nine schools that are located north of Gainesville and east of Pensacola.

And Karixza Luna-Soliveras, who is vice chair of FSCJ’s Student Government Association on its South Campus, was elected to serve as the Florida College System Student Government Association’s Region 1 assistant coordinator during the 2019-20 school year — a fantastic achievement that reflects just how respected Luna-Soliveras is among her peers across the state.

Bravo to all three of these accomplished scholars for their commitment to serving in student government at a high level!
