"Picking Cotton" Authors Bring their Story of Injustice and Redemption to FSCJ

An unlikely pair of authors, rape victim Jennifer Cannino and the wrongly accused and imprisoned Ronald Cotton, agreed to meet after evidence proved that Cotton was innocent of the crime.
Two years after DNA evidence proved he was not the attacker and he was released from prison, he and his accuser agreed to meet. Their best-selling book, "Picking Cotton: Our Memoir of Injustice and Redemption" served as the basis of the 2013-2014 Florida State College at Jacksonville Authors' Series Learning Community. They shared their amazing story with WJCT First Coast Connect Host Melissa Ross the same day they gave two presentations to students and the community. From March 25, 2014. Audio copyright WJCT.
