FSCJ will be closed for spring break from Monday, March 17 – Sunday, March 23, 2025. We look forward to serving you when we return on March 24.
FSCJ aviation students Rashaan Woods, Eve Shipilina, Travis Titus, Spencer Lott and Tanner Ives were recognized at the 2019 Deland Sport Aviation Showcase as YoPros (young professionals) in Aviation Influence.
Aviation Influence is a nonprofit organization that awards scholarships, provides flight simulation training opportunities and hosts aviation outreach events to bring industry partners together.
"YoPros are the future; we must empower and encourage them to follow their passions, support their interest in aviation," said Jeff Davis, founding board member of Aviation Influence.
Rashaan, Eve and Travis were honored to be recognized in this way and agreed how important it is to always remember where they came from, serving as mentors for young and upcoming professionals entering the field like themselves. The three will graduate by the end of summer term and spoke very highly about their time in the Professional Pilot Technology A.S. degree program. They share a common goal of one day becoming airline pilots and credit their training at FSCJ with preparing them to achieve that goal.
