FSCJ's Criminal Justice Center is operating at full capacity to train law enforcement and corrections officer recruits. As a result of the number of graduates who have passed the state officer certification exam, the program was awarded nearly $125,000 through the Florida Career and Professional Education Act (CAPE), which awards funds for various industry certification programs and is based on student completion rates.

Thanks to the funds from the state, new equipment was purchased to enhance the workout center and four track cars were secured to help expand the vehicle driving and training scenarios for recruits.
