An assessment program for awarding credit for prior learning and experience to Florida State College at Jacksonville students.
College Course Challenge exams are a Florida State College at Jacksonville-developed assessment program for awarding credit for prior learning and experience to FSCJ students. By successfully completing a CCCE assessment, you are awarded a grade of "P" on your transcript in the subject for which you are assessed. The good news is that unsuccessful assessment scores are not recorded on your transcript!
College Course Challenge Exams (CCCE’s) are a Florida State College at Jacksonville developed assessment program for awarding credits for prior learning and experience to FSCJ students. By successfully completing a CCCE assessment, you are awarded a grade of "P" on your transcript in the subject for which you are assessed. Students can take the CCCE for the following courses: ACG 3024, CGS 1100, COP 1000C, EET 1084, EMS 0210, EMS 0211, FSE 1000, FSE 2100, FSE 2140, HSC 1531, MLT 1022L, MLT 2840L, MLT 2841L, and OST 1100.
The time limits vary for each CCCE, but they can range anywhere from 60 minutes to 240 minutes depending on the exam.
The sitting fee for a 2 to 5 credit hours course CCCE is $45, while a 6 to 10 credit hours course CCCE is $60. Assessment Staff will provide you with email instructions on how to complete the payment.
Only FSCJ students that are approved by their Program Director are eligible to take the CCCE. Students that have already completed the course for their desired CCCE are not eligible to take it.

FSCJ students are able to retake any CCCE after 3 months. There is no limit on attempts, as long as the student has approval from their Program Director for each attempt.
Scores are processed by the Instructor that oversees that specific CCCE. The process can take up to 4 weeks for students to receive their scores.
