If you have a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic certification, it will articulate into this A.S. degree as 25 transfer credits. With an additional 35 hours of academic courses, students will earn the A.S. degree. The Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) courses will prepare you with the foundational knowledge and skills needed to successfully pass the FAA certification exams to earn the FAA Mechanic industry certification.
