Dr. Tara Haley Named Associate Provost of Baccalaureate, Career and Technical Education

FSCJ is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Tara Haley to the Associate Provost of Baccalaureate, Career and Technical Education (BCTE). Dr. Haley currently serves on the BCTE Leadership Team as Dean of Education and Human Services.

She has been with the College since 2017 and has served in multiple teaching and leadership roles, including adjunct instructor and instructional program manager. Dr. Haley's impressive record shows a commitment to leadership roles that have broad impact on our College community, including serving as Administrative and Professional Collaborative (APC) Chair, Dean’s Council Co-Chair and Downtown Campus Dean. She is a member of the Alliance for Innovation and Transformation (AFIT) team and a mentor for candidates in the Leadership Academy. Dr. Haley has effectively led the expansion of state and federal grants under her oversight including the Childcare Access Means Parents in Schools grant and the Vision Education & Rehabilitation Center (VERC).

Her service to the College and the community also includes involvement on several executive boards. Dr. Haley serves on the Cabinet for the Children’s Home Society Community Partnership Schools throughout Duval County and as Institutional Representative and State Conference Chair for the American Council on Education (ACE) Leadership Network of Florida. Dr. Haley is a graduate of the Leadership Jacksonville Class of 2024 and has been selected to serve on several accreditation site review teams throughout the state and nationally.   

Dr. Haley is a true champion for transforming both our community and the lives of our students. She will be an excellent leader and advocate for BCTE at FSCJ and a strong presence in our service area’s business and civic circles.
