FSCJ STATUS

FSCJ is closely monitoring the impacts of COVID-19 in our community. Registration is currently underway.

The College is currently operating semi-remotely and offering classes in-person, live online and fully online. The majority of our on-campus student services are available online, with limited services also available on campus including Academic Advising, Tutoring, Disability Services and more. These services can be accessed through the Student COVID-19 Resources page, or by calling (904) 646-2300 or emailing welcome@fscj.edu.

As the spread of COVID-19 continues throughout our community, we want to update you on the number of individuals from FSCJ who have self-reported that they have tested positive for COVID-19 and have been on campus during the exposure period for that individual. The College is notifying anyone who may have been in contact with these individuals during their time on campus.

If you become symptomatic and/or receive a positive test result for COVID-19, please call (904) 633-8233 or complete the appropriate form:

Active COVID-19 Cases

We define active cases as individuals who were on campus within 2 days of symptom onset, who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are currently in isolation. Isolation is different from quarantine. An individual in isolation has tested positive for COVID-19. An individual in quarantine was exposed to COVID-19 but has not tested positive for the virus. (See CDC definitions.)

Cases will be removed from the "Active COVID-19 Cases" column above once they have met CDC criteria for symptom-based recovery. CDC criteria for symptom-based recovery is defined as:

  • At least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared and
  • At least 48 hours have passed since last fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and
  • Symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of breath) have improved

2020 Cases

This is a cumulative total of cases of those that have been on campus since March 2020 during the exposure period for that individual. Thus, this figure should not be viewed as an accurate indicator of the current status of COVID-19 on FSCJ’s campuses and centers.
