Student Advising has returned to the Deerwood Center. Students will be able to make appointments to see an advisor for degree planning, to explore majors, plan courses for upcoming terms, develop academic goals and various other support services. To make an appointment, students should email advising@fscj.edu or call (904) 646-2300. They may also book an appointment at any advising center.

In addition, Advisors at Deerwood Center are now equipped for “virtual appointments,” live, computer-based appointments where FSCJ Online students can receive full service advising at their convenience. VISTA – virtual student advising — is in the pilot stage and will expand based on student demand.

Finally, FSCJ places a focus on helping students achieve their goals while providing appropriate support. Symplicity is a series of customized technology modules aimed at enhancing the student experience through areas like student engagement, a new early alert, self-service accommodation requests, digital case management, and career service and development tools, among others.
