• Obtain required releases for identifiable individuals according to College practice.
• Crop images intentionally for the component and responsive breakpoint.
• Optimize images before upload; use modern formats such as WebP when supported by the publishing workflow.
• Avoid uploading camera-original or print-resolution files when a smaller web asset will provide equivalent visual quality.
• Write alt text that communicates the image's purpose in context; do not begin with 'image of' unless needed for clarity.

Video and Audio

• Use the approved streaming/hosting platform Vimeo; rather than serving large video files directly from the website.
• Provide accurate captions for video with spoken content; review and correct machine-generated captions.
• Provide transcripts, audio description or equivalent access when appropriate.
• Use the accessible embedded players widget with keyboard controls and visible focus.
• Avoid autoplay with sound.
• Review media periodically for outdated people, dates, fees, processes or program information.
