Governance and Ownership
Official FSCJ web content represents the College and is overseen by FSCJ Marketing and Communications.
Content owners (editors) are responsible for ensuring information is accurate, current and appropriately approved. The central web team manages the shared web platform, templates, reusable components, technical standards and deployment practices.
Content owner responsibilities
- Confirm factual accuracy, spelling, dates, contacts, tuition/fee references and program information before publishing.
- Review assigned content at least annually and more frequently for high-impact or time-sensitive pages.
- Remove or archive expired information, events, forms and documents.
- Report accessibility, security, privacy or functionality issues promptly.
- Use approved FSCJ templates, components and brand assets rather than creating parallel visual systems.
Web team responsibilities
- Maintain Sitefinity, the ASP.NET Core Renderer, shared layouts, navigation, search integrations and reusable widgets.
- Manage code through source control, peer review and the approved CI/CD process.
- Coordinate testing and promotion through development, UAT, production and disaster-recovery environments.
- Maintain platform-level accessibility, security headers, performance practices and technical SEO.
- Provide guidance to editors and support content governance.
No unmanaged production changes: Application code, shared styles, JavaScript and renderer components should move through the approved development and deployment process rather than being edited directly in production.
