The Fire Science Cadet Academy is a two-year program providing recent high school graduates the opportunity to simultaneously obtain an Associate of Science degree in Fire Technology, an Emergency Medical Technician Level I certification and a Florida Firefighter certification. The program provides a strong foundation in community fire protection strategies such as fire prevention, fire chemistry, building construction and fire protection systems.
