School Certifying Officials
School Certifying Officials (SCOs) are authorized FSCJ employees responsible for certifying the course enrollment of eligible students using VA education benefits. Upon a student's request each academic term, SCOs review and certify courses that meet the requirements of the student's approved academic program.
Enrollment certifications are submitted to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) on a first-come, first-served basis.

Connect with FSCJ
School Certifying Officials (SCOs) are available virtually or in person at FSCJ's Kent and South campuses. SCOs can help you explore your VA education benefit options, identify the benefits that best support your educational goals, and guide you through the certification process. Their goal is to simplify and streamline the process while helping you maximize your eligible VA education benefits.
