Military Spouse Education

Are you a spouse of an active duty service member or activated Reserve member? The MyCAA program may be for you!

FSCJ recognizes that the circumstances of military spouses are unique. You manage a household through multiple PCS moves or service member’s deployments. Setting aside the time to pursue your educational goals or enhance your current skills to be more marketable isn’t always high on your priority list. We understand what you are experiencing and are here to offer you the flexibility and convenience that you need as a military spouse.

We offer four bachelor’s degrees, nine associate degrees, and many technical and workforce certificates fully online. These programs are designed to be flexible with your busy schedule and to help you achieve your educational goals.

FSCJ has a Military and Veterans Service Center (MVSC) that serves as a single point of contact and is staffed with dedicated military advisors, experienced financial aid analysts and representatives from the Veterans’ Administration. The MVSC can provide you with the help you need, including:

  • Maximizing eligible military spouse education benefits
  • Assisting with MyCAA and Post 9/11 GI Bill®
  • Completing the application process
  • Applying for other financial aid
  • Mapping out your academic path
  • Receiving credit for prior coursework
  • Registering for classes

Under the long-term program guidelines, career counselors will continue to work with all military spouses to help develop career and education goals and plans, and assist them in identifying and accessing available federal education benefits toward these goals.
