PTK allows you to learn, lead and partner with other academically talented and civically engaged students. You will also have the opportunity to travel locally, regionally and nationally, all the while gaining valuable learning and leadership experiences. Members of PTK may take advantage of a variety of transfer scholarship opportunities that are open only to members. Members are also eligible to apply for more than $30 million in transfer scholarships exclusively for PTK members from 800 four-year colleges and universities.

Please contact Dr. Mary James, Chapter Advisor, to inquire about becoming a PTK member.

PTK involves a one-time membership fee of $85. This fee covers all costs, including lifetime dues, a membership certificate, a PTK lapel pin and an identification card. During each membership cycle, up to 3 FSCJ eligible students may be nominated for the PTK Golden Opportunity scholarship, which waives $60.00 of the $85.00 membership fee. This scholarship is typically awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are interested in being considered for the Golden Opportunity scholarship, please contact Dr. Mary James.

Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 to remain in good standing as PTK members.

Yes, part-time students will be invited to become members of PTK if they meet the eligibility criteria.
