Program Overview
Are you interested in learning how to become a medical assistant? From front office to exam room, medical assistants keep things running smoothly. They make sure patients have positive experiences and the doctor has the assistance needed.
Our Medical Assisting Career Certificate (C.C.) will prepare you to do everything as a medical assistant from maintaining medical records, filing insurance claims and billing to taking medical histories, vital signs and assisting with exams. You’ll gain practical experience for a medical assisting job in local hospitals, doctor’s offices and clinics. In addition, you qualify to take the Registered Medical Assistant examination to become a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

Graduates of the Career Certificate Medical Assisting program are eligible to sit for the following examinations:

- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and Certified EKG Technician (CET) offered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
