Human anatomy, physics and hospital-based program

The Associate in Science (A.S.) in Radiography (Degree Completion) program is designed for graduates of hospital-based approved radiography educational programs who must attain an A.S. degree in order to write the ARRT examination for licensure. Admission is granted through hospital-based programs at Mayo Clinic, UF Health and St. Vincent’s. Graduates of this program may sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) examination.

All radiologic technology education classes are taken at the hospital-based program after acceptance into the program.

This degree program is intended primarily for students who desire to complete an associate in science degree and become employed. Students who decide to pursue university transfer study must meet certain course and test requirements.

Career Opportunities

Radiologic technologists, also known as radiographers, perform diagnostic imaging examinations, such as x rays, on patients. MRI technologists operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to create diagnostic images (Bureau of Labor Statistics).
