The Associate in Science (A.S.) in Radiography (FSCJ Option) degree trains and clinically prepares students to become a radiographer. What is a radiographer? A radiographer’s job is to produce diagnostic medical radiographic images. The radiographers program is a balance between theory and practice that enhances the educational experience and provides students with the skills and preparation necessary for a radiography career.

Degree Options

This radiographer program is intended primarily for students who desire to complete an associate in science degree and become employed. Students who decide to pursue university transfer study must meet certain course and test requirements.

The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) national certification is required for graduates to pursue their career.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this program are skilled in radiography (X-ray). With additional training, graduates may pursue: Computerized Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MTI), sonography, (ultrasound), nuclear medicine, mammography, radiation therapy and interventional imaging.
