Program Overview
The Associate in Science (A.S.) in Biotechnology Laboratory Technology provides students with the fundamentals of biotech combined with extensive, hands-on laboratory experience and internship opportunities. Based on biology, biotechnology uses DNA and proteins to create products that change our world for the better. From health and agriculture to environmental protection and security, the capabilities are diverse and promising.
Students choose from two exciting career tracks:
- Research Technician-performing cell culture and molecular research
- Food Testing Technician-working in environmental or food testing laboratories.
