IV Therapy for Nurses

Program Overview

This course will equip current or recent graduate nurses (RN or LPN) with basic knowledge to expand their IV therapy practice. Students will receive hands-on training with IV simulation manikins. Topics include infection control, central line use, fluids, electrolytes, blood, plasma, albumin, TPN therapy, assessment and care.

Pre-requisite: To take the IV Therapy course, you must complete an LPN or higher level of nursing training. 

Course Modality: This course has a Hybrid modality consisting of both an online lecture and in-person labs. Please refer to your class schedule for more information. 

Deadline Information: You can find the deadline dates for each class on your student schedule, accessible by logging into your MyFSCJ Student Center.

Enrollment Policy: Please be aware that this class might be canceled if the minimum number of participants is not reached.

To register for this course, you will need to apply by selecting the Continuing Education Courses (CWE) option.
