Offered in partnership with the Southern California School of Interpretation.

Artificial intelligence is transforming the language-services profession and creating new opportunities for interpreters and translators. This program helps experienced language professionals understand how they can apply their linguistic knowledge, terminology expertise, and professional judgment to the development and use of AI-powered language resources.

The Certificate in Applied AI for Interpreters and Translators goes beyond basic training on existing AI tools. Students learn how AI applications are designed, structured, tested, evaluated, and improved for practical use in the language-services profession—without requiring programming or technical experience.

Through hands-on, practical learning, students explore how their professional expertise can contribute to the development of AI tools and resources used in interpreting and translation.
