Program Overview

The Associate of Science in Industry Operations Management is designed for graduates of certificate and registered apprenticeship programs who are ready to advance into supervisory or entry-level management roles. This program builds on prior technical training by strengthening leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while enhancing general education competencies essential for effective workplace performance. Students can choose one of the following tracks:

General Management Track: Prepares students for supervisory and entry-level management roles across a wide range of industries. This track focuses on the leadership, operations, communication, and organizational skills necessary to effectively manage teams, oversee daily operations, and support business objectives.

Entrepreneurship Track: Designed for students interested in starting or growing a business, this track builds skills in business planning, innovation, financial basics, and decision-making. Students learn how to turn technical expertise into viable business opportunities and manage the challenges of self-employment or small business ownership.

Construction Management Track: Prepares students for leadership roles in construction and skilled trades environments. This track emphasizes project coordination, site supervision, safety, scheduling, and quality control, equipping graduates to manage crews, oversee projects, and ensure successful jobsite outcomes.

Educational background: You must have completed a registered apprenticeship or certificate program with at least 900 contact hours.

Credit award: Approved apprenticeships, certificate programs, or equivalent experiences will receive 24-27 credit hours.
