Become one of the most sought-after employees in the finance industry

About FinTech Technician (T.C.)

Financial technicians are among the most sought-after employees in the finance industry. New technologies used in banking, credit evaluation, payment processing and regulatory applications are shaping the way many financial organizations do business now. With these changes, there is an increase in demand for skilled technicians that can apply programming, data collection and data analytics technologies to meet industry needs.

FSCJ is the regional resource for many employers with connections to the financial sector, including CSX, Florida Blue, FIS, Bank of America, VyStar, Black Knight, Crowley Marine, City of Jacksonville, Citi and TEKsystems, as well as the U.S. government and military.

The FinTech Technician Technical Certificate (T.C.) was developed to help students prepare to pursue certifications such as:

•    SAS Base Programmer
•    PCAP (Python Certified Associate Programmer)
•    Microsoft Office Specialist – Excel
•    CompTIA Security+
•    CompTIA Network+
•    CompTIA Linux+

Students may earn this certificate and the Data Science Technician T.C. to develop or upgrade their skills or while pursuing the Data Science Technology Associate in Science (A.S.) degree. This certificate also serves students who may be interested in pursuing the Financial Technology (FinTech) Advanced Technical Certificate (A.T.C.), which requires a minimum of an associate degree.

Students enrolled in this program may qualify for wraparound support services like job training and internships, tutoring and cost reimbursement for fees and materials through the Northeast Florida FinTech Initiative Grant. Click here for more information.
