Bloomberg Assessment Test

The Bloomberg Assessment Test assesses the financial knowledge and aptitude of college students worldwide who are interested in a career in finance. The goal of the Bloomberg Assessment Test is to match student strengths with employer needs. It measures knowledge and aptitude in ten areas including; economics, financial statement analysis, corporate valuation, investment banking, financial markets, investment management, verbal skills, math skills, situational and ethical judgment, and analytical reasoning. Students do not need to be an expert on all sections of the test to take the assessment.

Employers pay to access the database and search for employees who match the unique blend of skills they are looking for in their next employee. Once they obtain this anonymous listing, they attempt contact with the student, who then has the choice to respond and identify themselves or deny response. This test has the potential to provide Fortune 500 Companies, regardless of their corporate location, access to Florida State College at Jacksonville students. Once a student has completed the assessment, the student will have the choice to opt-in or opt-out of the database. If the student opts-in the student’s scores will become part of the database and employers can access them anonymously. Bloomberg has relationships with over 20,000 global companies that can access the test score data to recruit for full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities.  Taking the Bloomberg Assessment Test cannot negatively impact student’s employment search, and there is nothing to lose when the student participates in the examination.
