The goal of the FSCJ Ally Program is to support faculty, staff and students in becoming resources for students who identify as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgendered. Ally members provide a safe and confidential space where students can discuss LGBTQ issues and concerns. Ally members also advocate for removing all forms of bias, prejudice, hetero-sexism, homophobia and discrimination against LGBTQ students at FSCJ.

What is Expected from an Ally?

As an Ally, you will receive an “LGBTQ Ally” sticker to visually identify yourself as a supporter of the LGBTQ community. By displaying your sticker, you are sending a message that you can provide a non-judgmental environment and an empathetic ear around the issues of culture and diversity.

Who is an Ally?
