FSCJ’s Professor of History Andrew Holt was recently selected to be a series editor for the “Seven Historical Myths Series” by the Hackett Publishing Company, a series that will address seven popularly held myths regarding a significant historical period, phenomenon or person.
The aim of the series, which is global in scope and spans all time periods, is to involve students and general readers alike in the venture of exploring the origins and evolution of selected myths and the reasons why professional historians have either rejected or called into serious question these popular notions.
The initial volume of the series is scheduled for publication in September 2015.
Dr. Holt will work with co-editor Alfred J. Andrea, a renowned retired medievalist. This is a great honor for Dr. Holt as he contributes his expertise to this educational work.
