FSCJ BlueWave Volleyball Player Receives National Recognition

FSCJ BlueWave Athletics announced that Kaylon Cruickshank, sophomore middle blocker from Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, was selected as a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American First Team.

Cruickshank was previously selected as Player of the Year for the Panhandle Conference in the state of Florida and an All-Region member for the NJCAA Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) Region 8. She led the BlueWave team this season with a .341 hitting average and 2.71 kills per set. Cruickshank helped the BlueWave Volleyball Team to a Panhandle Conference Championship (7-1 record) and an overall 16-9 season record.

“Kaylon has been such a great asset to our talented team this year and serves as an encouraging team player to her teammates,” said FSCJ Director of Athletics Ginny Alexander. “We are excited that her dedication and focus on the court is being recognized in this way.”
