Professor of Digital Media Marc Boese and Database Administrator Mitch Chin won the People’s Choice Award for their Idea Lab poster presentation at the conference, which took place on June 14-16.

New Media Consortium is an international community of experts in educational technology. Marc and Mitch presented to a group of more than 500 attendees alongside 40 other Idea Lab poster projects and highlighted FSCJ’s Intro to Video and Digital Media Creative Problem Solving courses.

Their presentation emphasized the process for bridging the technology gap for lower socio-economic students in the Digital Media Arts program at FSCJ. They highlighted a past educational technology success as part of their presentation and also proposed a future project.
