FSCJ Announces Officers Re-elected for the 20018-19 District Board of Trustees

At the August 2018 Board meeting for the 2018-19 year, Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) District Board of Trustees re-elected Karen Bowling as Board chair. Additionally, Candace Holloway was selected to continue as vice chair for Nassau County and T.R. "Mac" McGehee Jr. will also remain in his role as vice chair for Duval County.

Ms. Bowling was first named Board Chair in August 2017. She was appointed to the Board in August 2011 and reappointed in July 2018. She served as a committee member for the Board’s Finance & Audit Committee from August 2016 to July 2017, as the District Board of Trustees’ liaison to the Foundation Board from August 2011 to July 2014, and as a member on the Board of the FSCJ Foundation.

Ms. Holloway was originally appointed to the FSCJ District Board of Trustees in August 2011 and was reappointed in July 2018. She was elected vice chair for Nassau County in August 2017, having previously served in that role from August 2015 to July 2016 and August 2012 to July 2014. She was also elected District Board of Trustees’ liaison to the Foundation Board in August 2017. 

Mr. McGehee was first appointed to the District Board of Trustees in 1999 and was reappointed in 2007, 2011 and 2017. Over his time on the Board, he has held several positions during his time on the Board, including Board chair, Board liaison to the Foundation Board and member of the Board Finance & Audit Committee. He was originally elected as vice chair for Duval County in August 2016.
