This year, the annual FSCJ Author Series will feature Author Dr. Damon Tweedy and his book, “Black Man in a White Coat," which overviews how some of his own prior beliefs and biases affected him in his clinical practice. He discovered, though often in hindsight, that there was a life lesson to learn from the journey through these surprising situations.
Students are invited to participate in an essay contest where they can discuss a time when they learned a lesson that changed a prior belief or a bias once held. Cash prizes will be offered for first through third place winners. The deadline is March 1, 2019 at midnight.
