Financial Services (Financial Planning Associate) (A137)

If you’re interested in pursuing a career in the fast growing area of personal financial planning, this A.A.S. degree program will give you a solid foundation. Banks, brokerage firms, insurance companies, credit unions, and other financial services institutions are growing; there are numerous employment opportunities in the Jacksonville area. The curriculum in this program covers a broad array of topics: financial planning fundamentals; principles of insurance; investment planning, retirement planning and employee benefits; individual taxes and estate planning. The lengthy list of professional electives allows you to focus on the areas of particular interest to you.

The number of jobs in this field will grow faster than the average for all occupations through the year 2012. Median annual earnings of personal financial advisors were $56,680 in 2002.
