Brainfuse is now available to FSCJ students and provides live, online help, career tools and writing labs. Plus, students can schedule virtual study sessions to collaborate on a project, watch videos on select topics or explore career interests that match their skills. FSCJ students receive each of these services for free.

FSCJ community is paying tribute to the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his impact on changing social norms in our community through his vision and activism.

Join us on Tuesday, January 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at North Campus, E-235, for the MLK Jr. Remembrance Vigil. FSCJ students, faculty and staff will commemorate Dr. King Jr.’s contributions to society by participating in a march through North Campus.

The 5th Annual Student Research Conference will be held on April 5, 2019. Calling FSCJ faculty and staff! If you're interested in being a mentor to participating students, contact Dr. John Woodward at john.a.woodward@fscj.edu. 

The conference gives students a great opportunity to present unique research, improve presentation skills and engage in thoughtful dialogue with faculty, fellow panelists and guests. 

FSCJ is accepting nominations for the Hats Off to Women Awards: Honoring Survivors. This year's event will honor those women who have chosen to rise above traumatic life experiences and help others. The deadline for nominations is January 25.

The Recruitment and Admissions Office had a busy Fall Term with the team participating in more than 150 recruitment events throughout the service area. From high school visits to community outreach initiatives, the team is going above and beyond to ensure future FSCJ students are well-informed and equipped to begin their college journey.

FSCJ student, Isabella Altenbach, joined three other students - each representing the University of North Florida, Edward Waters College and Jacksonville University at City Hall on November 18 to accept the Michael Jackson Music Scholarship from the Kids Hope Alliance.

FSCJ's Distinguished Alumni Award honors alumni who have demonstrated leadership in their chosen professions and stood out through community service initiatives.

January's Administrative and Professional Collaborative (APC) Spotlight shines on Vice President of Student Services Linda Herlocker.

Jocelyn Tolbert, media coordinator and editor-in-chief of two magazines for the American Culinary Federation, discovered her love of writing while working for FSCJ's student-run newspaper, the Campus Voice. Learn more about her journey and the impact the College had in her career.

Make plans to join us for the 2019 Wellness Fair on Friday, March 1, 2019, at Downtown Campus. The event is open to all employees and will target the Employee Wellness Program's five elements of health and wellness: Physical, Nutritional, Financial, Emotional/Social and Spiritual.

FSCJ's 20West Cafe participates as a featured venue each month at Jacksonville's downtown Art Walk. More than 5,000 visitors come downtown to this event on the first Wednesday of every month.
