myGradPlan Update

The myGradPlan team continues to work toward the launch of our new student success management system. We are well-positioned to meet our goal launch dates for faculty/staff in fall 2021 and students in spring 2022, and fully expect to conduct registration through myGradPlan for Summer Term 2022.

We have completed technical and functional validations of the staff-facing side and will finish that process for the student-facing side within the next few weeks. The Library and Learning Commons are currently piloting the staff-facing side and have begun to track student usage and appointments through the system. The implementation team will conduct training for the initial group of advisors who will be piloting myGradPlan.

A great deal of work has also gone into the degree-planning component. The top 70 Associate in Arts transfer degree roadmaps are being built out in the system and that work will continue. Over time, the focus will transition into building roadmaps for Technical Certificate, Associate in Science and baccalaureate programs as well.

Student Technology Lending Program

The College is mindful of the struggles many students experience due to a lack of access to basic online learning technologies such as computers, webcams and internet access. A new Student Technology Lending Program began on Monday, October 12, just in time for the Fall C7 Term. Students who are currently enrolled will be able to borrow a laptop and charger or a webcam for use throughout their full course term.

To request equipment, students will simply visit the Deerwood Library and Learning Commons (LLC) and complete a form accepting responsibility for the check-out period. At the end of term, they will return their items to the Deerwood LLC.
