The Firefighter I and II Workforce Certificate (W.C.) programs provide students the opportunity for gaining valuable hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art training facility which includes a maritime fire trainer. Students also learn about communications, fire prevention and handling hazardous material emergencies, which fully prepares students for certification and employment as a firefighter in the state of Florida.

You may be eligible to receive credit toward this degree through Prior Learning Assessment. Students who successfully complete the Firefighter II W.C. program qualify to sit for the state minimum standards written, oral and practical examination as administered by the Bureau of Fire Standards and Training.
