Transition to professional nursing, adult health and mental health
The Associate in Science (A.S.) in Nursing (R.N.) (Bridge Option for Paramedics and Licensed Practical Nurse) degree program combines general education and professional courses including lecture, laboratory and clinical education components. Graduates of the program are prepared to function as entry-level practitioners and are qualified to take the NCLEX to become licensed as a registered nurse (RN). Admission to the program is limited and is based on academic performance and other criteria. This track is limited to employed paramedics and practical nurses with a current Florida license who have the equivalent of at least six months of work experience in the last two years as a paramedic or LPN.

Florida State College at Jacksonville wishes to announce that it will host a site visit for continuing accreditation of its Associate in Science in Nursing program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). You are invited to meet with the site visit team and share your comments about the program in person at a meeting scheduled at 4:30pm on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, in C-136 conference room of the “C” building located at 4501 Capper Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218.
