Tim Slater
Tim came to Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2004. He works as an Engineer I - Network in Digital Media Productions, reporting to Rusty Gardner.
Tim is the Systems Administrator for the following systems: Podcast Producer, Mediaworks, Xsan, and Channel 26 BUG TV. In addition, Tim facilitates Apple certification classes in the Apple Authorized Training Center at Florida State College at Jacksonville and serves as a TV studio engineer as needed.
He has also earned numerous hardware and software certifications for both Apple and PC platforms. The certifications include: Apple Certified Trainer, Technical Coordinator, Specialist Directory Services, Macintosh Technician, CompTIA, and Dell certifications.
As a member of the Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Forensics Team, Tim won a state championship and received national recognition for public speaking. He is a member of the North Florida Macintosh Users Group and Secure Florida, the training section of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s C-Safe program. He was also honored with a key to the city for his years of service as the Chairman of the Beautification Advisory Board to the City of Neptune Beach, where he lives. Tim enjoys spending time with family and friends. He and his wife are active in their church and Children’s Ministry.
