Engineer IV - Software

Kyle LaValley

Kyle, came to Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2005, and currently is Engineer IV - Software, reporting to Linda Swanson.

Kyle is responsible for the administration of 397 SQL Server databases. He is also responsible for the SQL Server database and business intelligence architectures.

Some of Kyle’s projects include developing the database system for the college’s student survey, developing the business intelligence cubes that provide the data for the MIS/DSS reports, and developing the batch loading systems from ORION to MIS and ORION to State Reporting.

Kyle likes to spend time with his family most of all. He also enjoys practicing karate, and learning the bass guitar on his downtime. He lives in Jacksonville.

Kyle graduated with a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Florida State University. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Software Engineering from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science from University of North Florida.
