David Dial

David began working with Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2003 as part of the Artist Series.

He then moved to Liberal Arts and Open Campus before transferring to the Marketing and Communications Department as a Web Developer for College sites. Previous to joining the Tech Team, David worked with the Military, Public Safety and Security Division, where he served as a Senior Instructional Designer, creating media-rich courses for the U.S. Navy. David joined the Tech Team as a member of Learning Innovations, which builds collaborative relationships to enhance the technological experiences of faculty, staff and students throughout the College. He now leads the E-Systems team in the development of rich web resources such as Connections, the student portal, Artemis, the employee portal, and integration with Orion, the college's ERP system.

Highlights


David holds a BFA in Acting from New York University and an MFA in Media Design from Full Sail University. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Educational Technology at Walden University. Before coming to the College, he was a professional stage actor, working with off-Broadway and nationally touring companies. He was also an Associate Instructor at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
