The Health Navigator Associate of Science (A.S.) degree at FSCJ provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to assist individuals with limited health literacy, including the elderly, in accessing benefits from community services, clinical care, and health insurance.

Health navigators are on the front lines of the healthcare industry, directly assisting patients in finding their path in medical care and insurance. They have a wealth of expertise in these systems and provide crucial information and resources that ensure patients are taking full advantage of what is available and are on the best-fit medical path for their individualized needs.

Health Navigator A.S. Program Structure

The Health Navigator associate degree consists of 60 credits of general education courses as well as higher level medical concepts. The program’s rigorous coursework aligns challenging academic standards with relevant technical knowledge and skills.
