Honors Program
Highly motivated students have the opportunity to become a part of our Honors Academy. The Honors Academy gives exceptional students a chance to excel by providing stimulating intellectual and leadership development experiences.
Enhanced academic, extra-curricular and service activities help give high achievers greater academic satisfaction, opportunities for social interaction, and additional scholarship opportunities. Students who have a weighted average GPA of 3.5 in high school or who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 after 12 semester hours of college-level courses may apply for admittance into the Honors Academy. Honors Academy students should take two honors classes per semester.

North Side Inspirations: A mixed media exhibit by Arlene Tabor

Local artist Arlene Tabor recently moved to the north side of Jacksonville and has been inspired to create the aptly named art exhibit "North Side Inspirations."
An award winning artist and a member of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society and the Art Guild of Orange Park, Arlene Tabor will use watercolor, oil, acrylic and pastel mediums to showcase the people, places and uniqueness of northern Jacksonville.
Opening receptions: The exhibit opening receptions will be Sunday, June 3, from 1-4 p.m. and Thursday, June 7, from 6-8 p.m. Light refreshments will be served at both openings.
The exhibit runs through Friday, July 27.
Gallary hours: Mon.-Thurs., from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
