Whether a student’s dream is to work in a Fortune 500 company, act on Broadway, or take flight, Florida State College can help make that dream come true. With over 100 degree programs to choose from, the possibilities are endless.

Some students graduate high school knowing exactly what career they want. Others may need time to explore options and may change majors at some point in their college career. The earlier the choice is made the better. It saves time and money that may be spent taking unnecessary classes. An academic advisor can give students guidance with the selection of a major and help them choose the classes they’ll need to earn the degree they want. Whatever the degree, students can begin with an associate or bachelor’s degree at Florida State College and take that degree as far as they want to go. We provide over 100 degree programs, and our tuition costs are considerably less than other four-year Florida public or private colleges and universities.

Associate Degrees

An associate degree can be used as the equivalent of the freshman and sophomore years of college in preparation for a bachelor’s degree or beyond, or it can be used by those who want to complete their degree and begin their careers immediately. Florida State College offers three associate degree options. The student’s educational goals will determine the associate degree needed.

An Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree is a two-year degree used to transfer into a bachelor degree program. Students can choose from one of the bachelor degrees offered at Florida State College or choose another college or university. Advisors will help with class selection to ensure classes are appropriate for the desired degree and will transfer to the college or university chosen. The Associate in Science (A.S.) degree can be used to prepare for a career or can be transferred to a bachelor degree program as long as all requirements for the higher degree are met.

An Associate in Science (A.S.) is generally used as career preparation.

Technical certificates are also available for those looking for fast, targeted career training – usually takes less than two years.

Bachelor Degrees

After completing an associate degree, there’s no need to transfer to an expensive college away from home. Students can choose from one of several exciting bachelor degree programs offered at Florida State College, with more to be added soon. Select from the list of bachelor degrees that follows to learn more about our bachelor degrees and the requirements needed.
