What Makes a Career in Massage Therapy a Smart Choice

By Florida State College Tue, March 08, 2011 12:23 am EDT

Us News and World Report recently released the list of the top fifty careers for 2011. One of the careers was the relaxing world of Massage Therapy.

Terrie Merritt is already a part of this hot job. She is a massage therapist with 7th Wonder Day Spa in Jacksonville. She loves that the job is full of self-satisfaction. “It’s just a fantastic feeling for somebody to go out of here and they may have walked in with their back just killing them and when they leave they are smiling and they are rested. There is no describing how that feels, none what so ever”, says Merritt.

Classes in Massage Therapy are available at Florida Coast Career Tech. After three semesters, you’ll leave the program with a certificate and a license to be a certified Massage Therapist in the state of Florida. Take a look at the video and find out what its like to rub shoulders for a living.
