New Advising Center Tool is Off to a Great Start

As was reported in the May newsletter, a new, improved service tool was recently launched at our Advising Centers to enhance student advising through a more efficient, convenient and pleasant advising experience.

Students now have three easy options for checking in to Advising Centers: online, by text or in person. They can now utilize mobile check-in to “virtually” check themselves into the line ahead of time. Students may also receive text messages to notify them of accurate wait times, updates on their place in line and to let them know when it’s their turn.

Students can also schedule an appointment online at a time that is convenient for their schedule.

On June 5, students began receiving automated text messages from the system after checking out of their advising session. The text included a link to a survey to measure their satisfaction and to gather feedback. So far, the results have been overall very positive, with an average of 4.71 "stars" out of a possible 5. We look forward to the continued use of this system and to hearing what our students have to say about it.
