Transient Students
Steps to Completing Transient Student Admissions Application
- After consulting with your academic counselor/advisor move to the next step.
- Visit Florida Virtual Campus.
- Select from the top menu “Applying for College.”
- In the "Apply" section, select “Take classes at another college (Transient Student Admissions Application).” Please read all instructions provided.
- Scroll down to determine if transient institution is listed under "Transient Institutions."
- If transient institution is not listed, complete a paper transient form that you can obtain at any campus Student Success Office and fax to (904) 633-5955 for manual processing. Allow three to five days for processing.
- If transient institution is listed, select “Continue” at the bottom.
- Select from the drop down menu "Florida State College at Jacksonville."
- Enter your student ID and PIN/Password. This will be the same as your Connections User ID and password. If you do not know your Connections User ID and password, visit Connections: Password and User ID Help.
- Once you sign-in, complete the form fully.
- Your request will first go to the district Welcome Center for approval or denial.
- Once your request is approved by Florida State College at Jacksonville it will be sent electronically to the transient institution that you selected.
- The transient institution will either approve or deny your request.
- At every step during the process, when the form is completed, approved, or not approved, an e-mail is sent to the e-mail address you provided when completing the request form. If an e-mail address is not provided, or you wish to check on the approval process, you can log in again on Florida Virtual Campus, and view the form in progress.
