Paying Tuition with Financial Aid

Payment Extensions

Financial aid students not yet awarded can have their payment deadline extended until the final payment deadline for a session within the term.

To be eligible:

  • You must maintain satisfactory progress or have an approved appeal.
  • You must be enrolled.
  • You must submit at least one of the required documents to financial aid.

Payment extensions are provided to financial aid students to provide time for awards to be posted and tuition deferred. If through no fault of your own, financial aid is not awarded by the final payment deadline, visit your campus enrollment office to resolve.

Deferred Tuition

Students eligible for financial aid can delay paying their tuition until financial aid is disbursed up to a maximum of 60 days from the term start date. If financial aid has not disbursed within the 60 days, you will receive a bill and must pay within 30 days or resolve the issue. Failure to pay timely will prevent receipt of transcript, certificate or diploma, inability to register for the next term, and you will incur collection costs.

To be eligible for a financial aid deferment,

  • You must enroll in eligible classes.
  • You must be awarded financial aid amounts equal to or in excess of your tuition amount due.
  • You must pay any additional amounts due not covered by your financial aid award.

If your eligibility changes after you have registered and paid, a bill will be mailed to you. You must pay the amount due or the penalties discussed above will apply.

Remember tuition is your responsibility. If financial aid status changes, you, the student are responsible for payment of your tuition and debts.

Students with questions about their bill or deferment can visit Connections, and select “my Finances,” “my Bills” or contact your campus business office.
