Wireless Access

Students have wireless access to the Florida State College at Jacksonville student data network and the Internet on campus.

Florida State College at Jacksonville’s wireless network is for College students, faculty, staff and registered guests. Access to the wireless network is granted through your student domain account. Because of security issues, sharing of student domain accounts is forbidden and as a reminder, you should never share your password with anyone. Also, all access through the network may be monitored and logged.

Configuration Instructions for Students

Follow the instructions below to gain access to the College wireless network:

  1. Turn on your device.
  2. The wireless network broadcasts the SSID, FSCJ-Student. Your wireless device should pick up this SSID automatically. If not, manually add it in your Wireless Profile Manager.
  3. Open a Web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. You will be redirected to an authentication page. You must authenticate to receive full network access.
  4. Enter your student domain ID (same as your email and Connections logon) and password.
  5. Click the log on button.
  6. You have now authenticated to the College network.

Note: If you are having problems logging on to the Florida State College at Jacksonville student domain, check your student domain log on by logging on to Connections. If your log on fails, contact the Help Desk at (904) 632-3151 and have your student domain password reset.
